Arrow Adventures, TOO!! Episode 5

Katara: *sighs and puts her hand on Joshua’s shoulder*

Joshua: *startled, turns in the chair* …Oh..

Katara: Sorry, I didn’t mean to make you jump…

Joshua: …I did not jump *looks back at his laptop screen and continues typing*

Katara: Joshua, please, come to bed..

Joshua: I cannot..I must find a way to get that conniving degenerate out of  here..

Katara: .. *sigh* …

*suddenly there is the sound of glass shattering*

Joshua: *jumps up* Stay here! *runs into the hall*

*Katara follows him to the doorway and he bursts into Ciara’s room*

Joshua: CIARA, what are you doing?!

Ciara: *kicks the shattered test-tube under her bed* Um..nothing..

Joshua: It is 3 o’clock in the morning!! Give me your materials and GO TO SLEEP!!! You made me think that something was amiss—you are going to wake the entire house up!

Katara: *grabs his arm and whispers harshly* YOU are going to wake the entire house up!! Stop it right now!

Joshua: I told you to—

Katara: *freezes his mouth shut*

Joshua: *surprised and angry*

Katara: Go inside to the bedroom, SWEETHEART. *looks at Ciara* Cari, you know that you aren’t allowed to do experiments this late without permission and supervision.

Ciara: … *sighs and glances at the floor* Sorry, Mom..

Katara: *strokes her hair* Go to sleep. *shuts the door, walks back to her bedroom, and shuts that door*

Joshua: *sitting on the bed, frowning as much as his lips will let him*

Katara: *unfreezes his mouth* Look, I’m sorry, but you’re driving yourself crazy! You’re paranoid, and Jason has only been here a little more than 12 hours!

Joshua: *running fingers through his hair and sighing* I know…I’m sorry….I just… *sighs again*

Katara: *walks over to the bed and kisses him*

Joshua: *pink*

Katara: *sits next to him and puts her hand on his lap* Besides…do you really think he can escape his bedroom with all of those padlocks you put on the door?

Joshua: Who knows…

Katara: You NEED to sleep. You’re almost as bad as Justin was today..

Joshua: ……..

Katara: Listen to me…you guys have all of us here. You can count on us..

Joshua: ……..

Katara: *kisses him again* Come on..sleep.

*Joshua reluctantly starts undressing for bed and Katara shuts the little light..*

Joshua: *stomps down to the kitchen* WHERE—… *tries to calm down and lowers voice* Where is Jason and why did you not wake me up when you woke up?!

Katara: *rocking James* Jason is still upstairs, and I didn’t wake you up because you needed rest.

Astral: What is the matter?

Sokka: *trying to put his pink flowing hair in a topknot out of  his face* You know, Joshua, I can’t put my finger on it…but you look different somehow……. *eyes widen* You’re not wearing a tie!!!

Everyone else: *GASP!!!!*

Olivia: Who are you and what have you done with Josh?!?!?!

Joshua:    T_T    Well, I could not put on a tie this morning, for all of my ties are TIED TOGETHER.

Jessica: Rin..

Rin: Hey, wasn’t me! The first time I touched his ties for a prank was the LAST time! He nearly exploded and used me as a lab rat!!!

Bieber: Kids…

Drew: Wasn’t me.

Dante: Me neither, I swear on my arrow!....Well…I don’t have an arrow…but if I did I’d swear on it!

Ciara: I know not to touch Daddy’s ties.

Erika: Ethereal..Seraphi…

Ethereal and Seraphi: It wasn’t us, Mother..

Joshua: I did not suspect that it was one of the children..    T_T

Bieber: Jason…

Katara: As believable as that is, Jason’s asleep.

Astral: And he was asleep all night, too.

Joshua: That is most unusual…but I am certain that—

Aang: *runs downstairs* Guys! Rebecca’s really sick!!

Katara: *stands* What’s the matter?!

Aang: She’s throwing up, and she has a fever, and she really doesn’t look good!!

Katara: *goes to hand James to Jessica*

Joshua: Sit back down, I will go *quickly follows Aang back up the stairs*

Sokka: Well that’s not good..

Bieber: ..Maybe there really is a flu going around…

*upstairs*

Joshua: *knocking on the bathroom door* Rebecca, are you alright?

*suddenly a door to one of the bedrooms opens behind him and Aang*

Jason: *steps out* Morning *smirk* I can’t believe I slept in this late…Thanks for undoing the padlocks.

Joshua: Hmph..you’re welcome..

Jason: *sees that Aang is pale* Is everything a-okay out here?

Aang: No..Rebecca’s sick.

Jason: So sudden? How strange.

Joshua: *eyes narrow* Yes, very…How convenient she has fallen ill, and that my ties have become one, all in the day after you arrive.

Jason: What makes you think that I would do either of those things?

Joshua: Try your entire history at the Council.

Jason: Tch. Well I haven’t poisoned anyone..*rolls eyes* nor did I touch your precious ties. I’ve been in my room all night, and had no desire to do either of those things..Don’t jump to conclusions.. *smirk* ….

Joshua: *fastening his tie as he comes down the stairs into the living room*

Jessica: How’s Rebecca do—

Aang: *jumps up nervously* Is she okay?!?!?!

Joshua: She is asleep.

Aang: *frown* That doesn’t mean she’s okay!!!!

Joshua: It appears to be that Jason is correct.. *flashes Jason a slight glare* I
believe she has a flu of some sort. *looks back at Aang* Let her rest.

Aang: *sighs and plops back into the chair*

Katara: *soothing* Relax..

Aang: You KNOW I can’t do that!!!!

Katara: She’ll be fine, Aang.

Aidyn: Yes..and she has such fine caretakers here *smile*

*suddenly, the Gaang hears light, stumbling footsteps coming down the stairs*

Drew: *rubbing eyes groggily* Mommy…Daddy….

Bieber: Up from your nap already??

Jessica: *holds arms out to him* What’s the matter, Drew?

Drew: *plops into her lap, looking pale* I feel icky, Mommy…

Jessica: *feels his forehead* ..Hm…feels okay…

Drew: *moans a little and snuggles into her*

Bieber: *flashes a glare at Jason* What did you do?!

Jason: What are you talking about? *gestures to Drew* To him?? I didn’t do anything!!

Bieber: (Liar..)

Jason: He probably has whatever Rebecca caught.

Drew: *pouting* Am I sick?

Jessica: I don’t know, Drew.. *strokes his hair back, but Drew doesn’t flip it back to its original place*

Erika: ..Whatever this is, I wonder if Seraphi is prone to it or immune…

Astral: I guess we’ll find out…

*5 o’clock A.M.*

*Aidyn sighs as he comes downstairs into the living room, but stops when he sees Bieber, Jessica, and Drew*

Aidyn: Hey..what are you guys doing up?

Bieber: *sigh* Drew woke up with a fe—

Jessica: *clears throat*

Bieber: Uh..a F-E-V-E-R..

Aidyn: Darn..

Bieber: What are you doing up?

Aidyn: Couldn’t sleep… *sits down with them and looks at Drew in
Jessica’s lap* *speaks softly* Hey, buddy, what’s the matter?

Drew: .. *sniff* ..

Aidyn: Aw, hey, don’t cry..you’re okay..

Drew: *pout*

Aidyn: Tell you what…what if I gave you an ice-pop?

Drew: …… *slightly more interested*

*Bieber and Jessica smile*

Aidyn: *gets up and heads for the kitchen* What kind do you want…

Drew: *sniff* …A p-purple one…

Aidyn: *smiles as he comes back* You got it.. *hands him the ice-pop*

Jessica: What do you say..

Drew: *sniff* ..Thank you, Uncle Aidyn…

Aidyn: *smile* You’re welcome.

Bieber: You’re good with kids, y’know.

Aidyn: Ohh no, we’re not going into that again..I don’t want any kids, I don’t want a wife, I just want my sister, and her family here.

Bieber: *sighs with a slight grin* Okay, okay..

*upstairs*

Joshua: *tossing and turning in bed…………his dream goes into a flashback*

(Joshua: *age 16, mixing substances carefully in one of the Council’s many hidden laboratories*
Jason: *age 13, comes in* Greetings.
Joshua: *slightly startled* ….What are you doing in here???
Jason: I came to observe…The other Councilmen gave me leave.
Joshua: ………Alright..I suppose…Sit there and do not touch any of the test-tubes.
Jason: Yes, sir *sits*
*Joshua cautiously goes back to work, picking up a jar of liquid labeled “Chimera X” and holding it up to the light*
Jason: …What are you working on?
Joshua: D.N.A. for a prototype to be injected into the Arachnid.. *carefully pours some out*
Jason: Oh…the..new “project”…
Joshua: Yes.
*Joshua continues working tediously…….it becomes very quiet in the lab……..Joshua finally sighs tiredly and in despair as he studies one of  his test-tubes that is not developing the way it is supposed to…………..suddenly Joshua turns his head to find that Jason is no longer in the room*
Joshua: *glancing around the room* ..Master Jason?......
*suddenly a strange scent fills Joshua’s nostrils—his eyes widen as he notices the translucent gray plasma along the perimeter of the room—there is an explosion*)

Joshua: AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! *shoots up and tries to fight off the remains of his flashback-dream*

Katara: *had woken up when he had started shouting in his sleep* Joshua!!!...JOSHUA, you were asleep!!!!

Joshua: *chest rising and falling rapidly*

Katara: *grasps his arm* Joshua!!!!!!

Joshua: *glancing around the room………finally his breathing slows…*

Katara: What happened?!?!

Joshua: *rubs forehead* It’s alright…I am fine…

*Katara opens her mouth to disagree, but suddenly they hear Seraphi’s screams, and Erika and Astral going into his room*

Joshua: ………. *sigh* (..So it is going to be one of those nights…..Stupendous…..)
